A solo exhibition by Swiss artist Daniel G\u00f6ttin was held.
\nG\u00f6ttin inspected the gallery at the exhibition\u2019s planning stage to know the space\u2019s structure including the ceiling height, beam position, and distortion of the building, and created an installation with familiar materials available at the do-it-yourself stores such as adhesive tapes and cardboards.
\nThe 2 floors of the gallery were used for the first time for G\u00f6ttin\u2019s exhibition. The exhibition asked a question on how the works on the 1st and 2nd floors reflect each other, and as the exhibition title \u201cDOUBLE VIEW\u201d indicated, it embraced \u201cthe eyes that capture the building and the space\u201d and \u201cthe eyes that are casted on the building.\u201d Through the use of reflective aluminum tapes, the installation altered its appearance by changing viewpoints of the viewers walking around the gallery and changing angle of sunlight streaming from the windows.
\nConcurrently with G\u00f6ttin\u2019s exhibition, a solo exhibition by Gerda Meise, who runs a gallery space with G\u00f6ttin in Basel, Switzerland, was held at Star Gallery in the underground mall in Fushimi, Nagoya.<\/p>\n
